Oh hey there,
This is a very special post about an extraordinary experience I had last week.
Belvedere, the world’s original luxury vodka, introduced us the notion of terroir on vodka through the pioneering new Single Estate Rye Series with two distinct vodkas, Smogóry Forest and Lake Bartężek – each named for the village of the estate. The event was held at Aigli Geni Hamam in Thessaloniki and was a private event for press.
The Belvedere Single Estate Rye Series represents an extraordinary exploration into the idea of terroir (soil, topography, and climate) in vodka, making the claim that climate variation affects the taste.
During the event, we were served cocktails from the hands of bartenders from the most influential bars of Athens and Thessaloniki. They gave a unique expression to the super premium Belvedere vodka with an exclusive and more personalised character creating unique cocktail inspired by Belvedere Pure and the new Belvedere Single Estate Rye Vodkas.
Belvedere Smogóry Forest. Bold and enjoyable. With a sense of salty caramel, a hint of honey, soft notes of white pepper and salty / sweet aftertaste.
Belvedere Lake Bartężek. Cool and gentle. With notes of black pepper, freshly sliced rye, almond, grass and biscuit traces.
They come to complete the Belvedere Vodka family, known for its noble and sophisticated character and displaying a palette of different flavors of rye.
The visitors had the opportunity to attend a detailed presentation of the Belvedere Smogóry Forest and Belvedere Lake Bartężek vodka made from the rare Rice Diamond Dankowskie, a grain with a very special personality cultivated exclusively in the individual estates of certain parts of Poland.
ABOUT BELVEDERE VODKA
Rye. Water. And character.
Produced in a Polish distillery in 1910, Belvedere Vodka was the first to create a new model of aristocracy, creating the luxury vodka. Today, the distinctive character and incomprehensible integrity of Belvedere are internationally recognized with distinction among vodka lovers, who appreciate the natural, without additives. Made with Polish Dankowskie rye and mixed with water from its own local source, Belvedere’s taste profile is distinctly soft with delicate sweetness and smooth, clean perfection.
