How to Wear a Corset

The guide on how to wear a corset like a pro.

Hey youngsters,

How has your first week of March been? Well for me, it’s been pretty exciting. Spring has made its entrance here in Greece and the days have started to become longer with really beautiful pinky-peachy sunsets around 6pm. Our moods are starting to get hyped and the whole environment around us is rejuvenating.

In this post, I would like to expand a bit on the hottest trend of spring; the corset! The particular piece has made a dynamic comeback into street style outfits adding a sassy and feminine touch. From Kendall Jenner to Gigi Hadid, we saw it sported in every possible way. However, the corset had a less successful comeback during the early 2000s, when Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera sported it in a  pretty kitch way. This time, this piece brings an element of high fashion. We are seeing it worn over casual attire. Wear it on top of shirts, sweaters and even cardigans. I have found one which I thought was particularly interesting since it was denim; and I am the greatest lover of denims. To my great surprise I realised that it was utterly flattering. I sported it over a black cardigan by MindYourStyle and wearing a mesh sleeve shirt beneath. My GUM Gianni Chiarini bag has been my all time favourite one.

So what do you think? Is the corset going to be your “thing” this Spring?
